Our Classroom Rules

  1. Follow directions from an adult right away.

  2. Wait your turn to speak.

  3. Use kind words and actions.

  4. Keep your belongings and our classroom clean.

  5. Make safe and responsible choices.

  6. Honor God through your choices.

Parent Communication

There are two ways I communicate classroom behavior on a daily basis: the behavior calendar and ClassDojo. On the classroom calendar, your child will make a colored dot based on behavior for that day, following the discipline policy. A number code may be issued, explaining the reason for an orange or red dot. On ClassDojo, your child earns points for good behavior, as well as logs everything on the behavior calendar. You can log in and see the same information electronically.

Discipline Policy

I use the language of “expected” and “unexpected” behavior in my classroom. We discussed what this looks like, sounds like, and feels like on the first day of school. Expected behaviors follow the rules to help everyone feel safe, happy, and able to learn. Unexpected behaviors do NOT follow the rules and make others upset, distracted, or worried. Unexpected behavior will result in a warning, code, or parent contact. These are the steps I follow for unexpected behavior:

1st warning → 2nd warning → code → parent contact

Saint Cecilia Parish School is a Christ-centered community committed to academic excellence. We empower our students to explore and develop their individual God-given talents. Our emphasis nurtures the development of the whole child preparing each student to be a productive and contributing member of our global society.  Inspired by the spirit of the Sisters, Servants the Immaculate Heart of Mary, we dedicate ourselves to preserving the Catholic identity of our school. Our administrators, faculty, staff, parents and students collaborate in an environment of shared values.
