Snow Days at St. Cecilia School

For the 2019-2020 school year, St. Cecilia will be implementing days of learning at home during a snow day. With the support of the diocese, teachers will be sending home work to complete during the snow day. While this does mean your child will have to complete a small amount of work at home during the day off, it also means that snow days will NOT need to be made up, and we will not run the risk of having to come to school on scheduled days off later in the year.

On snow days, please refer to this page. Find, print, and have your child complete the packet for the number of snow days we are currently at in the year. For example, if this is the THIRD snow day, you will need to find and print packet #3. In the case of severe weather conditions that may prevent you from accessing the website, please send a note to school the following day to explain why your child could not complete the work. I ask that students are excused only as truly necessary. These at-home learning days count towards the number of school days, which is why we will not need to make them up. If too many students are not completing the work, we will need to make up the snow day after all.
